From quiz to cup — here's the whole system.

  • First, we learn your taste

The quiz asks about food because taste lives in food — if you know how you take your chocolate, we can find your coffee. Your match is drawn from our full range, and every one you rate makes the next match sharper. You'll also see your two runners-up — switching among them is always free.

  • Then we dial in your brewer

Great beans still make a mediocre cup with the wrong recipe. So every bag carries a code that opens recipes tuned to that exact coffee and roast — how much coffee, how hot, how long, and the technique — for your method, anchored to the standard professionals brew to. Follow it once and you'll taste the difference. Follow it twice and it's yours.

  • And your coffee keeps your pace

Tell us roughly how much you brew; we size the bag and time the deliveries to match — then keep adjusting as we learn. Running low? Bring your next bag forward with one tap, and every date after follows. Piling up? Slow it down just as easily. You're never rationing the last scoop or staring at stale bags.

Why asking about food finds your coffee

Most of what you think of as flavor is actually smell, and the flavors in coffee are the same families you already know from food: berry, cocoa, caramel, citrus, spice. So if we know the foods and smells you love, we can point you to the coffees you'll love — without you ever having to describe a coffee or learn a single tasting term.

That's why the quiz asks about chocolate, fruit, and dessert instead of "notes." It's built on the same flavor language the coffee world uses to score coffee professionally, translated back into everyday food. And every coffee we carry is tasted and mapped on that same language by our own panel, so your answers and our coffees speak the same terms.

The questions are the easy part, and you'll see all of them. What turns your answers into your cup is the part we built ourselves and keep behind the curtain: a matching model that reads your food preferences, places you among our coffees, and finds the closest fit — then sharpens every time you rate one. That model is the real work here, and it's ours.

We'll be honest about what it is: not magic, just careful matching grounded in food science and your own ratings, which is why it keeps getting better the more you drink. A great first cup is a strong prediction, not a promise about your exact taste — so we back it with one anyway: if your first coffee misses, the next is on us.

  • Bright Spark — a light, fruity cup with berries and citrus.

    Bright Spark

You love sour and citrusy things: a lemon tart, fresh berries, a grapefruit cocktail. Your coffee is light and lively, tasting of fruit — berries, citrus, a little stone fruit. Best black, so the fruit shines.

  • Delicate Bloom — a gentle, tea-like cup with a blossom.

    Delicate Bloom

Floral and herbal notes draw you in: green tea, honey, a glass of white wine. Your coffee is light and silky, gentle and tea-like, with soft floral notes. Lovely black or barely touched.

  • Sweet Comfort — a smooth, sweet cup with caramel and chocolate.

    Sweet Comfort

You reach for sweet and creamy: milk chocolate, caramel, crème brûlée. Your coffee is smooth and sweet, with a caramel warmth. Made for a splash of milk or a little sugar.

  • Chocolate Lover — a rich, chocolatey cup with toasted nuts.

    Chocolate Lover

Chocolate and nuts are your thing: a brownie, cocoa, toasted almonds. Your coffee is rich and full, chocolatey and nutty. Wonderful black, even better with a splash of milk.

  • Warm Spice — a warm, spiced cup with cinnamon and star anise.

    Warm Spice

Cozy and spiced is your comfort zone: cinnamon, chai, gingerbread, apple crumble. Your coffee is warm and spiced, with a brown-sugar sweetness. A little milk suits it.

  • Bold Soul — a deep, dark, roasty cup.

    Bold Soul

You like it dark and intense: very dark chocolate, a stout, a smoky whiskey. Your coffee is deep, roasty, and bold, with dark-chocolate and smoke. Usually taken black and strong.

  • Balanced Everyday — an easygoing mug of coffee on a kitchen counter.

    Balanced Everyday

Maybe you like a bit of everything, or you're not sure yet — that's completely fine. Your coffee is an easygoing, balanced medium that's hard not to like, and we fine-tune it as you rate a few cups. However you take it, it works.

No commitments. No games.

Every coffee is priced on its own, shipping included, to every U.S. address — territories and APO too. You're billed per shipment, for what actually ships. No commitments, no terms, no tricks.

  • Two sizes, matched to you.

12 oz · 16 oz — the 16 oz costs a little less per ounce. We'll match you to the size that fits your household; resize anytime.

  • What's included

Every subscription includes: your match (plus two runners-up you can switch to, free), recipes tuned to each bag one scan away, the origin story, pace-aware delivery (each shipment sized toward a month and timed to how fast you actually drink), and the guarantee. You're billed per shipment — never on a clock.

The guarantee, in plain language

Your first three coffees: we owe you a match you love. If a coffee misses — your original or one you switched to — tell us: the next bag is free and we re-match you. If that one misses too, we'll ask you to re-take the quiz (two minutes, and it genuinely helps us land it), and the third bag is free as well. If all three miss, keep exploring at your own pace — or cancel and we'll refund your first bag's price. You keep the coffee either way.

After that, the safety net: feeling adventurous and pick a coffee yourself? If it misses, the first replacement is free; a second miss gets 50% off your next bag. That net resets every year.

The honest part: we don't argue about taste — you say it missed, we make it right, within those caps. That's the deal.

Questions people actually ask

1. How does matching work?

You answer eight quick questions about food you already love; we translate those
into a taste profile and match you against our full range. You’ll see your best
match plus the two runners-up — and every coffee you rate makes the next match
sharper.

2. What if I don't like my coffee?

Tell us — during your first three coffees, a miss earns a free re-match bag (and if
the second misses too, a quick re-take of the quiz plus a free third try).
After that, if a coffee you picked yourself misses, the first replacement is
free and a second miss gets 50% off — that safety net resets yearly. We never
argue about taste.

3. Can I change my coffee?

Anytime, free. Your account shows your top three matches — switch among them with one tap and it applies to your next shipment. You can also pick anything from the shelf.

4. Whole bean or ground?

Both. Pick your grind at checkout; if you choose ground, we grind for the brew method on your profile.

5. Can I pause, skip, or cancel?

Anytime, in about three taps, from Manage my coffee. Pause for 1–3 months and we’ll
resume automatically (with a reminder first); canceling is one click with no phone calls and no guilt trip.

6. How does "coffee that keeps your pace" work?

Tell us roughly how much you brew and we size the bag and time deliveries to match,
tuning over your first few shipments. Running low? Tap “ship it now” and your
next bag moves up — all your future dates follow. Piling up? One tap slows it down.
