Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and Sidama sits at the heart of that story — a region of misty highlands above 2,000 meters where coffee still grows much as it always has, among native shade trees on small family plots. The beans are indigenous heirloom varieties, genetically richer than almost anywhere on earth, dried slowly in the sun with the fruit left on. That natural method is what gives this cup its berry sweetness, delicate florals, and soft caramel depth — the benchmark by which other coffees are measured.
