In the Amazonian Andes of northern Peru, a cooperative that began in 2003 with just thirty-five farmers now brings together nearly two hundred growers — many of them women who help lead it — farming organic, Fair Trade coffee across the mountainsides. Their washed lots are clean and smooth, with a gentle lemon brightness, herbal notes, and a comforting chocolate finish.
