Before it's ever roasted, this green coffee rests inside used whiskey barrels and slowly drinks in the wood, drawing out notes of oak, soft vanilla, and a warm whiskey character. Roasting to a medium level then locks that flavor in while burning off anything left of the spirit — so the barrel gives you the aroma and the story, with no alcohol in the cup. It's a genuine conversation piece: pour it black and let the oak and vanilla do the talking, or add a splash of cream and watch it turn into something close to dessert. A little different, in the best way.
